Sim Physics X/P3D is a multi-function application that includes numerous functions in one product, some of them for the first time! It brings missing functionality to FS, gives extra gadgets to your old add-on aircraft – advance it to Next Generation status, expands your takeoff and landing experience, brings you sound and visual effects.

FSPS - Sim Physics X/P3D

Implements ice accumulation on your FS aircraft. Using complex theoretic models, Sim Physics adds or removes ice to/from your aircraft in relation to the weather conditions. No more single “ICE DETECTED” in your display. You will have to handle it.

Ice accumulation can produce drag, extra weight on the aircraft, and even alter the pilot's input on the control surfaces to simulate the controls deficiency.

Implements corrected brakes behaviour under the new developed Brakes System. Your brakes now get hotter the more you use them based on your aircraft mass , the brake's disc surface and speed while braking. This affects their performance; the hotter they are, the less the brake performance. Locking up your wheels will now result in less friction, just like in real life. Brakes can get cooler if you leave your gear extended for a short time while airborne. All combined with enhanced sound effects for normal braking and wheel lock–up. Sounds play at a volume determined by aircraft speed.

Implements corrections to the aircraft performance for Accelerating down the runway for takeoff and landing (or aborting takeoff). It now takes into account brake temperature, runway surface type and runway condition in terms of water, snow or ice contamination. Friction changes as any of these factors change making every takeoff and landing a unique experience!

Runway contamination and the runway friction amount is now directly related to the precipitation rate. Up unit now, all rain or snow, no matter how much, all had the same effect in FS.Implementation of Anti-Skid feature for all aircraft. No more being jealous of expensive aircraft add-ons that emulate this.

Integration of previously-released Runway Bumping Effect. The simulation has been expanded to produce sounds and visual effects when passing over the runway centreline with not only the nose wheel but all 3 set of wheels. No longer is there just a plain sounds played louder as you accelerate down the runway. Calculations are precise down to the centimetre of centreline, lights, and each wheels position. Measuring the distance covered gives you a perfectly simulated effect when passing over each light on the runway.

Integration of 3D Cockpit Effects, previously released by FSPS, but now with expanded characteristics. In 3D cockpit view mode you can now enjoy:

Head movement for spoilers, flaps and gear expansion when airborne  depending on your Airspeed and unique, varying head movement for cloud and air turbulence, head movement when taxiing for take off, during main gear touchdown, and nose wheel touchdown, depending on how hard or soft the landing was. Head movement when passing every runway centerline light.
Not yet compatible with 3rd party head-moving software as we use the same technology and conflicts may occur. However, you can turn our 3D effects off if you want to enjoy it via another program.

  • Braking
  • Locking up the wheels (the squealing sound)
  • Rolling
  • Flaps
  • Spoilers
  • Gear extensions in air
  • Passing over every runway light

The effect's volume, pitch and frequency is dependent on the aircraft's speed. When braking, it depends on the brake's temperature. So it is not just a simply sound played when an event is triggered.
